Nouns in the Accusative Case
The Accusative Case (Acc.) marks the direct object of a sentence. For example: Я вижу книгу = I see a book.
The Russian word "book" was transformed from the Nominative (Nom.) "книга" into the Accusative (Acc.). "книгу"

Masculine animate nouns in singular share the same endings for Accusative and Genitive.
For example: брат (Nom. singular) ⇒ Я вижу брата (Acc. singular) ⇒ Нет брата (Gen. singular).

Inanimate nouns in plural share the same endings for Accusative and Nominative.
Animate nouns in plural share the same endings for Accusative and Genitive.
Pay attention to feminine nouns in singular that end in а in Nominative.
First, remove this final а to create the Accusative plural. If you have a group of consonants at the end of the word, you need to insert the vowels: -о -е between the consonants.
- девушка (Nom. singular) ⇒ Я вижу девушек (Acc. plural)
Remember! When a masculine noun in singular ends in ж, ч, ш or щ in Nominative, the Accusative plural gets the ending ей instead of ов.
- врач (Nom. singular) - врачей (Acc. plural)
When a masculine noun ends in а or я (дедушка / дядя), it forms the Accusative like feminine nouns.
