"May There Always Be the Sun", also known as "May There Always Be the Sunshine", one of the most famous children's songs, was created in 1962. The four lines of the refrain were composed by the 4-year-old boy Kostya Barannikov as far back as in 1928, which eventually became the inspiration for the creation of the song. The performance by Tamara Miansarova is the most famous version of the song. It was also often performed by Young Pioneers and Little Octobrists.
